FAQ

How much are dues?

Jan 1st, 2016

Pamela Weinstein

Dues are $45 per year per household. For residents living on W. Outer Drive and Evergreen, dues are $25 per year.  If you pay your dues online, an automatic $2 service charge is added to those amounts.

Why the difference?

Jan 1st, 2016

Pamela Weinstein

The difference is street snow removal. RPIA contracts with a private contrator to plow all residential streets in the Park except W. Outer Drive and Evergreen. W. Outer Drive is a county road - Wayne County plows that street.  Evergreen is a major City street, plowed by the City of Detroit.  Therefore, residents on those two streets pay less, since the Association is not providing street snow removal service to those residents.

Besides street snow plowing, residents' dues pay for all of the Association's programs and activities, including the bi-monthly newsletter, the weekly electronic newsletter, the annual Easter Egg Hunt, the June Day Parade and picnic, the Annual Gala Banquet, vacant property and code enforcement activities, and so much more!

What are the benefits to being an RPIA member?

Jan 1st, 2016

Pamela Weinstein

In one sense, you are buying into a functioning neighborhood organization. As a member, you can voice your concerns and vote at general membership meetings; you and your family can attend the June Picnic and participate in all of the RPIA-sponsored activities.  (Take a peek at the 'Calendar of Events' section on this website).

In addition, you will receive the Rosedale Park News. Other benefits include street snow plowing when 2 inches or more collect in the streets, ready access to the Association's elected officers and board members and standing committees that address general community issues to help preserve the quality of life in the park.

When will I be billed?

Dues are for the calendar year - from January through December. Invoices are mailed in February, with a follow-up notice a few months later, if necessary.

How do I know if I am a member for the current year?

Nov 30th, -0001

Alex Derdelakos

If the previous resident paid their dues for that year, you are a member. The current year's membership transfers to the new resident. To find out if you are a member, send an email to rdalepark@gmail.com.
